EDUCATORS |
Research has proven that teacher quality is the single most important school-based factor influencing student outcomes. At Pi High, the instructional staff will be highly-qualified professionals, vetted for excellence, and hired through a racial equity lens in order to build an ethnically-diverse corps of teaching experts.
Pi High core teachers will be board certified and trained in positive classroom management, ELL best practices and cultural competency. Pi High educators will welcome the opportunity to work collaboratively with their school colleagues, as well as with colleagues in higher education and the creative technology industries. They will receive professional development in high-level instructional strategies including leading blended-learning classrooms with educational software and digital assessment tools. All Pi High teachers will be required to continuously reflect on student data and will strive to refine their teaching practice to ensure student success. To maintain the highest level of educator excellence, Pi High will offer its teaching staff on-going professional development opportunities throughout the academic year and during the summer months. One member of the teaching staff will be appointed annually as a voting member to serve on the school's Board of Trustees. >Next: Who? Co-Principals |
