PARTNERSHIPS |
With a vision of "opening doors to new futures in the arts + technology," Pi High seeks to build positive partnerships with educational institutions, cultural organizations and key industries, both in its neighborhood and across the city, such as:
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Partnerships will allow Pi High teachers to develop curriculum in partnership with experts from higher education and the creative technology industries. Students will also participate in meaningful work-related learning where they can apply theoretical and practical skills in settings that align with their career aspirations. Community + Industry Partners, such as nonprofit arts organizations and creative for-profit businesses, will work together to share project assignments based on real working briefs for students to learn "real world" skills, support mentoring, provide career counseling and offer internships. Arts organizations will also provide off-site specialized programs for students seeking advanced training. Higher Education Partners, such as universities, community, technology and art colleges, will share facilities, provide advice on curricular content, underwrite scholarships for Pi High graduates, and support the professional development of Pi High teachers through essential clock-hours programs. Pi High students will have the opportunity to attend local community colleges to fulfill their individual learning goals. >Next: Who? Trustees |
