TECHNOLOGY |
Informational Technology (IT) is central to every aspect of Pi High's operations and learning. The Pi High school building has WiFi throughout. Every NewHolly student and teacher receives a school-provided mobile learning device with on-site Internet access, an email address, on-line curricula and Digital Portfolio software.
The building's open-space Technology Zones are managed by a staff IT expert and equipped with plasma screens, digital projectors, and electronic whiteboards for teacher and student use. In the school’s Library/Resource Center, Pi High students may print, bind or scan documents, plus check out an extensive array of books, digital cameras, video cameras, sound recorders, lighting equipment and projectors. Additionally, large computer labs provide the hardware and software for students to take a broad range of digital technology classes. IT also drives school administrative functions and student data is collected for student assessment records, long-term educational studies and to provide Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) with state-mandated testing scores. > Next: Facilities - Neighborhood |
